About Aspen Place at the Sawmill

Residential living at Aspen Place

Uniquely planned to include a residential component, Aspen Place at The Sawmill will offer 321 residential units. From single-family detached homes and townhomes to condominiums, lofts and above retail live-work units, the project will include residential options to accommodate virtually any lifestyle.

With home prices projected to range from $400,000 to $900,000, the target homebuyers for Aspen Place are working professionals who embrace the convenience of a pedestrian-friendly urban lifestyle often found in larger cities. Aspen Place is also expected to appeal to part-time or second homeowners who prefer a low maintenance, “lock and leave” second home in a place that offers recreation and outdoor living with city-like comforts.

History of the area

The intersection of Butler Avenue and Lone Tree Road in downtown Flagstaff was once a thriving industrial corner. The site of the Stone Forest Sawmill, this corner was a hallmark of a community shaped by the logging and lumber industries. After 85 years, the sawmill ceased operation in 1993.

Now, Phoenix-based developer The Aspen Group is reviving the historic area with Aspen Place at The Sawmill, a pedestrian-friendly mixed-use project with upscale retail, restaurant and residential components. Shaped by the landscape and culture of the area, Aspen Place delivers an urban lifestyle with the authentic look and feel of Flagstaff’s architecture and landscape.
